Luisa Leschin

LUISA LESCHIN has participated in almost every aspect of the entertainment industry. As a writer, Luisa co-wrote the highly successful play LATINS ANONYMOUS, which to date has received over forty-five national productions. As a feature film writer, she wrote music-driven TROPICO, for Universal, co-wrote THE NATIONAL GUARD for Showtime, AMIGAS -SWEET FIFTEEN CLUB for Disney Channel, and the animated feature, THE KID WHO SAVED CHRISTMAS for Warner Brother’s Premiere Entertainment. She has also written a Western based on a true story, THE LEGEND OF CHIPITA RODRIGUEZ.

In Television, she rose to Co-Executive Producer on the acclaimed Nickelodeon show, BROTHERS GARCIA, and enjoyed five seasons as a Co-Executive Producer on THE GEORGE LOPEZ SHOW (122 eps). In 2008, Luisa was a Co-EP on EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS. She worked on one hundred episodes of the TBS series ARE WE THERE YET? based on Ice-Cube’s hit movie of the same name. Luisa has served as a Consulting Producer for Disney Channel’s AUSTIN & ALLY, and on Hulu’s hit series, EAST LOS HIGH. Luisa jumped to one hour for the second season of FROM DUSK TILL DAWN. She has just finished as CO-EP for 39 episodes of Amazon’s hit series JUST ADD MAGIC.

Television pilots: 2017 – upcoming for TNT, one-hour original drama pilot, THE BLACK VEIL. For CBS: LORENZO'S WIFE – a one hour. Sitcoms: ESCORTS AND THE GOLDEN BONE – a comedy set in a five-star hotel for dogs. For Fox Studios: MAMBO PALACE, a half-hour single cam set in an East Harlem dance studio.

Luisa is an alumna of the Disney Writer’s Fellowship.
