When opening a pitch, you are really trying to sell a producer on you and why your idea is going to change the world and make everyone in the room rich while you do it. It’s a personal statement usually conveying, how you came up with an idea, why it’s so important and why you are the best person to write it.  The opening statement is the story of the idea thus far, tell a good one and you vastly increase your chance of success.

Class Structure: Unlike our pitch sessions, OPENING STATEMENT sessions are lectures conducted by our hosts online and last for thirty minutes (15 minute lecture and 15 minute Q&A).
